FrankA_hardinfo_report.html Working on Frank's Computer, December 2007.
Issues : --
- Unable to boot MS Windows 2000 from the new hard drive
- Unable to get sound working in old installation of MS Windows 2000
- Need to install a version of Linux to avoid problems and have an ongoing updateable system.
- Need to re-partition the new hard drive before installing anything, and to create a swap partition first, as there is insufficient RAM to install Klikit-Linux without the swap space.
- Install more memory to improve the performance. Currently less than 256 MB is available.
Current Specifications of this system.

the System Cloned to first partition of new drive, after repartitioning.
Also backed up to DVD using software from newly installed DVD-RW
and Data Created Data CD using the DVD-RW newly installed.
Also data has been copied to a DATA partition and "My Documents" linked to the DATA partition.
Note : Cloned version in the new hard drive also links to the DATA partition on the old hard drive.

After a lot of failed attempts, I finally managed to gain access, from Klikit, to the 'Documents' folder in MS Windows 2000 on partition :D DATA and compied the entire contents over to the new FAT32 Data partition, sda5.
There was only one document there, under the folder WordDocuments, which was renamed as "Prayer Warriors.doc"
- Link to the Data partition from both MS Windows 2000 and Klikit-Linux To Do.
- Install any other software that is needed.
- Image viewer.
- multimedia viewer.
- OpenOffice - set to store files as MS formats for ease of sharing.
- Browser and email client set up, preferences.
-
- Test , verify that everything is working correctly.
- Backup system to reinstallation images and to bootable DVD To Do.

All that remains, now, to do is to move the emails and address book currently in use in MS Windows 2000 over to the Data prtition in Klikit and link to it from Thunderbird wherever Thunderbird can be accessed. That and link the 'Documents' in MS Windows 2000 to the new Data partition, sda5.
Saved the partition list into a text document in the ~/Documents/ComputerData folder.
PS Never did copy over data or link common areas as the use of MS Windows 2000 just stopped, very quickly. He has been using Linux 100% ever since.
