McAfee Security Suite   After uninstalling this with Add/Remove Applications, I ran the removal tool from McAfee's web site to clean it all up.

Internet Explorer has not been uninstalled but it has been made not the default browser and the menu link has been removed.

 

 

 

Final tasks to perform : --

 

  • Install Wireless Router and ensure that home network is working and connected to the Internet.
  • Install Printer as a networked device so it can be used by the Laptop, wirelessly.
  • Install MS Office on Desktop computer.
  • Log into Eileen's Virtual Network at LogMeIn.
    Log in with email account - 88eileent@gmail.com
    Network Name                - 88eileent-Internet
    Install this on the Desktop Computer also.

  • Set up a backup schedule.

  • Take an image of the C :\ drive
